Requirements:
Prescription from your doctor/physician for aquatic therapy
In office initial evaluation
Independent ability to dress and shower self or to have an assistant present to help do so
Aquatic Pool Physical Therapist & Program Director: Kelley Hoyt
Kelley Hoyt graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. After returning to her home state of Idaho, she practiced general physical therapy for 5 years. Hoyt then moved to Grand Junction, CO where she became a spinal cord injury and stroke rehabilitation specialist. After a few years, she transferred to Chicago to receive her Masters degree in Physical Therapy with an emphasis on neurology research. Hoyt graduated from Northwestern University and has advanced skills in working with those patients who have medically complex issues. Hoyt has a particular interest in water therapy for those with strokes, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, cardiac problems, pre and post natal issues, or those with a multitude of problems. Her recent research has been in the area of pain and its control, particularly in the elderly.
